Getting outside – Go out for your workout!

If high intensity workouts are not your thing, don’t worry because you can get back to nature and one with yourself by doing a ten-minute yoga routine outdoors. Yoga has been proven to help relieve stress, regular hormone levels, and it definitely is not an “easy” workout. Yoga can be incredibly challenging as you have to focus on your body in order for the moves to be effective. You can find some great resources online or at a local park for simple yoga stretches to get you into the Zen mode that you deserve.

What exactly can you do outside?

The options are endless. You can get a great work out in by following a high intensity interval training (HIIT) outdoors with just your body, good shoes, and ten minutes.

1 min jog/march in place

1 min touch your toes with straight legs (hamstrings)

1 min jog/march in place

1 min push ups (regular or modified)

1 min jog/march in place

1 min squats

1 min jog/march in place

1 min tricep dips (either on a bench or on the ground

1 min jog/march in place

1 min side lunge (alternate sides)

If you want more of a challenge, repeat the workout.
